Initial Response:
What do I personally like to get out of listening to a Podcast?:
When listening to a podcast, I have to be entertained to be able to focus. So the escapism element is a big factor for me. I also have to feel like I am included in the story or conversation or investigation. So if a podcast can get me asking questions, making me think and giving me information and knowledge, it's a win win. I also have to feel inspired to try something ew or look into my own research on a specific topic after listening to a podcast.
What kind of Podcasts appeal to me?:
Podcast that flows like a conversation are the most interesting to me. It has to have two or more people for me to be able to really enjoy it and not get distracted by the same voice. When a podcast has multiple guest on their show (a panel) it is incredibly appealing to me as it means that we will get information from different sources or different opinions from people with different backgrounds.

What elements make up the Podcast that I like?:
In a podcast key elements that I like include of music, field recordings, interviews, archive audio ands intro's and outro's. I feel like they add an an extra personal touch to the podcast and also give it more entertaining qualities as someone just talking at you could be incredibly over stimulating and boring.

Research:
The images above are key sources/stories for my podcast. I only plan on using three of them as I won't have enough time to read them all and have an interesting conversation leading of from it. Each story, me and my co-host can relate to in some way or another and due to this we can stimulate a honest but fun conversation from it. This type of research is qualitive as it is based off of opinions (my own) and true stories. I am planning on using the step sibling one, the wedding venue one, and the girl best friend one. I believe these are the stories we can relate to our personal lives the best. However, I have put the other two stories on here to show if I had the time I would have also included these. As my podcast is a form of escapism and not really informative the research type is different, because I am reading other people's stories and "helping them" understand if they are in the wrong or right.
AITAH for making my husband choose me or his childhood crush/girl best friend?:
This source is about a married couple who have the same argument bout the husband female friend. When the couple first got together, the wife made it very clear she wasn't comfortable with any partner of hers being friends with past relationships or old crushes. The husband was understanding to this and there wasn't really an issue.
However, the wife had never been a fan of his girl best friend and they had had
a few arguments around her. Mainly because the man would tell her all the arguments he would have with his wife and he would be the one constantly reaching out to her. Things got worse when one night after a few drinks, he admitted that he use to have feeling for his GBSF.
This then led to the wife asking the husband to chose between her or the other girl.
This will be the story I use in my podcast, it will lead on from a quick conversation on how everyone has been. I believe it will lead to a conversation based round our opinions. I believe that majority of the people in my podcast will agree with what the woman is saying and I think we can link a real life scenario of our own to this quite nicely (all three of us). I will use this story as an ice breaker to get conversation flowing.
AITAH for refusing to give my wedding venue to my sister because she needed it more?:
This source is about a woman who is set to be married in the September. Her and her husband have been planning this wedding for three years and that's how long they have had the venue booked for. The sister also announces her engagement but shortly after this she announces she is pregnant. Everyone is over the moon for her. However, she then proceeds to ask can she have her sister's wedding venue as she will need to move her wedding forward due to the
baby. The lady says is taken a back at first and then proceeds to say no, but politely. This is then followed by her family calling her selfish, her sister bawling her eyes out and her family threatening to not come to the wedding. Her own family try and sabotage her big day all the way through the months to it.
This story is the longest one I have but it is filled with good plot twist and turns to make the listener intrigued. It has four parts to the story and will get a lot of gasps through out and "OH MY GOD'S!". This will be the second story I tell in my podcast. Once again it will be a good story to tell as we all have sisters and could probably relate to her anger or feel towards the younger sister. this is the one where I believe the most controversy will be caused. I also hope with this being the longest it cause us to have the most questions.
AITAH for refusing to spend time with my step-sister?:
This source is about a young girl, who's parents have split because her father cheated on her mother. Her father then married the woman he had an affair with and the little girl wanted nothing to do with him anymore. But because of the court she had to go his every other weekend. She stayed locked in her room when she was heir and would only participate in one family activity. Her new step mum had children as well who was younger than her and she wanted
nothing to do with them. The little boy didn't really bother her but the younger girl would just barge in her room. Shortly after, she snapped at the young girl and made her cry. It all went down hill after that in family therapy and at home. This will be the finally story I tell on my episode, I am hoping that this one creates an honest conversation of what it like to be from a separated family (like we all are). But also the funny parts. I think it will be a nice way to end the conversation and create a nice little debate weather the girl is in the wrong or not.
Annotating:
After reading each of these sources and picking the three above I decided that the best way to annotate and analyse them would be to pick the questions that I want to use/will ask when doing my actual podcast.

Stylistic Codes and Conventions:
What conventions would you use? Be as clear and descriptive as possible.
Personally, in my own podcast, the key elements that I am aiming to use are filed recordings, music, archive audio and intros and outro’s. This is because they add a personal touch to the podcast and give it more entertaining qualities, over someone just talking and sounding monotone. For music, I am thinking about having it at the start and end of my episode, when suspense builds and even include the musical “dum dum dum” to add more cinematic effects. For my archive audio I am going to find sound effects that it with the story and use them when necessary. The filed recording will be the sound I record after I have filmed my actual podcast so I know where would be best to add noises that fit in with the story, helping the listener visualise it better. My outro and into are going to be the same, most likely a snippet of a song with some gasp and “oh my gods” over it, finally ending with my podcast name.

The Main Message of the Programme:
What is the message of your podcast? What will you aim to pose/discuss etc. Be as clear and as descriptive as possible.
The main message of my first episode of my podcast is to talk about interesting stories that people need help deciding if they are in the wrong or even what they should do next. I will aim to discuss the key topics and answer questions throughout that link with the story. I will also aim to give my overall opinion. I will aim to do this with each story I read aloud.

Resolution:
What resolution will you offer? How will your podcast conclude to satisfy the question you have raised?
To end my podcast, I will get each member to give their opinion on the final story, including myself. This would lead me able to ask the listeners their opinion on it and make them question what they would have done in this situation. Giving a satisfactory conclusion and making the listener feel included. To end the episode, I would briefly mention what the next episode would be about and then say goodbye. The outro would play.
Programme Structure:
INTRO:
“Welcome to What in the world!?”
Intro plays. Once ended, I introduce who is there and what the episode is going to be about. I will mention what will be discussed on today's episode and let the other people give some information.
BODY:
The main portion of my podcast is going to be three stories, where we give advice and answer the question of whether they are an arsehole for their actions.
OUTRO:
Give a brief of what we discussed in the episode and what the next episode will be about.
“See you later, from What in the World!?”
Outro plays.

Contributors:
Who will be involved? Hosts, Guests, interviews, etc.
In my podcast I will have two other people joining me: Zaidie and Ruby. They will be my co-host on the Podcast. The different personalities of the three of us will go well together, especially considering it will also bring three different opinions on certain topics and different feelings on them.
Resources:
What will you need to produce your podcast?
When producing and creating my podcast, I will do the recording on my voice notes/over phone. As it is easily accessible and easy to move about if needed. I will also have a script with the information on to help guide the conversation from topic to topic and even a few questions to keep it interesting.

Cover Art:
Thumbnail Cover Art:
-
The first thing a potential listener will see
-
Hint's at the quality of your podcast
-
62% of listeners are more likely to listen if they like the cover art.
When comparing the two cover art's, I personally feel, that even though they couldn't be any different from each other, that they also really alike. I like different aspects off both. The layout off the first one is more my style and what catches my attention, yet, the style of the second one is more my taste. I think being able to combined both of these aspects together would create a strong cover art for my podcast.
As shown here you can see the colour palette is very simple and mostly consists of the same colours but different shades, green and neutral. This makes the thumbnail easy to look at as it isn't harsh on the eyes. The colours bounce off of each other and makes the green stand out, which helps grab the attention of the listener. The main image is in the middle and this really helps capture the listeners attention, but the main reason it is noticeable is the different shade of green reflecting of one of each other. Even though this isn't a popular layout for a thumbnail, to me it is more eye catching than the others and enjoyable to look out.
.Like in the first thumbnail the colour palette we see is once again very simple and moistly consists of different shades of blue. It was quite bright and harsh to look out but the black helps numb that harshness down. The main is at the top which is the face of the host. This is more a common lay out for this genre but I also think it doesn't really tell you what the podcast is about. However, the blue is also a common colour used and i think it is important for me to also use it my thumbnail, along with the different fonts and stylistic use of borders. The bright against the dark also creates a neon affect, which i think is very cool and will definitely help capture the listeners attention.
The use of blue. It is a popular theme that runs through out conversational podcast. However to make my podcast not as harsh to look at I will use it for the title.
The use of a centre main image. All conversational podcasts have a main image of some sort. Yet for mine I will have it as a world and centre middle so it follows the theme of the "The Combat Jack" podcast.
MY IDEAS
The use of space. All conversational podcasts have a bit of free space but tend to be occupied by something subtle. I am planning on using a wall background to help break this up.
The use of fonts. I am planning on using different fonts for my title to help break it up and have a hidden meaning, each font will represent a host. Most conversational podcast have this.
When it actually came to making my podcast cover, I found that the hardest thing was to portray what my podcast was like in actuality. For starters, I personally find my podcast to be funny due to the fact that the three people included in my podcast bounce of each other really well. I wanted to portray this through having a stool and a wall, as you would see in a comedic show. I also really wanted to use the colour blue to due to it's running theme with conversational podcast, however, when I first wrote the title in it, it felt really over powering. I managed to solve this by using the exact same font and size and re-writing the title of my podcast and placing it over and under to create a 3D effect and still have the title stand out but not to be to harsh on the eyes. When I got to this point, I noticed that there was still a lot of empty space. I decided to fill this by getting an image to represent my title and stick with the cartoon theme, the world. I didn't want it to be a ball I wanted it to be fun so I got one with a face and a body of a sort. Even though, I had filed some of the space it was still really bare. I thought it would be best to actually let my cover hint at what my podcast is about and I did this by including a sign in the back, saying "I am an asshole". Coming to the end of my design, I couldn't decided where I would include the host names. I still wanted to take some space up and thought it would be best to do this by including the names in a bubble and have the world introducing them in some way. Finally, sticking with the layout of a original podcast thumbnail I put the company I plan to upload my podcast on logo on the bottom.
Planning:
My website will have a page dedicated about me, Ruby and Zaidie, the two other host. Telling a bit of information round us and who we are what we like to do. Each one with be presented in a different font and possible colour to help split it up a bit more and to help understand the aura of the person in a way. This page wouldn't be that long but would be surrounded by images to help visualise us in a better way.
Content
My website will have a page about the back story of our podcast. Why I decided this genre and what changed along the way. It will also mention the process we took while recording, what was difficult and what was easy. The colour with this will be the same from the about me section due to the fact that I want people who read the website to understand the opions and who they are from linking it together.
My website will have a page about the podcast itself, what we talked about in full, where we found the sources and what was it like trying to give our own opinions on it. I will present this is three different sections to answer these questions. I will then also use colours that will match the theme and genre of my podcast and hope it can create a connection with that colour to make people want to come back for more.
My website will have a page about what inspired me with this podcast. It will include links and explanations as to what podcast and people spoke to me most and played a part in the creation of my podcast. Each colour used in this one will represent there podcast and I will include their logo so people can understand what their podcast is about just from the cover art. As well as a link so they don't have to go searching.
Link-To-Page Bar: It will be located at the top of every page on my website, so people can access it easy and manoeuvre the website with ease. It will contain all four of my page which when pressed it will direct them to the page of their choice. Not only this but each button will have a word that describes what context is on each page.
Hyper-link button to Spotify: I feel like this an important element for my website to have. It will encourage people who have been able to read about the podcast and where the idea came from to be able to begin listening right away. Instead of saying they'll come back for it. Further more, it will also be interesting for people are just looking for the podcast and it's an easy way for them to access it.
Interactive Elements
Slider of Photo's: I am planning to use this a few times n my website, but the main idea I have for this interactive element is to use it on the introducing the host page. I will have a picture of each host individually and finally one as a group. This will help the listeners put a face to the name's.
Socials and contact page: This will be located at the bottom of every page on the website. It will show people can contact us with questions they may have regarding the podcast, that they can't find on the website and they can leave their opinion on the stories from the podcast or the podcast itself.
Hyper-link to reddit sources: I feel this is an important element, as it allows people to see where we got the story from and the original, undisturbed copy. I feel like this will make listeners trust us more as we give the original writer credit and it shows us being honest about us where our source comes from. People would be able find sources and recomend to our podcast to share and comment on.
